Melanie Barnish is the Co-Founder of Genie Juicery and a Certified Health. Below, she shares her thoughts on the importance of detoxing and why she loves juice cleansing in particular.

I love the start of a new year: it’s a time for renewal, an occasion to reassess your goals, recalibrate our bodies and make a fresh start for the year ahead. With the silly season behind us, there is no better time to kick-start our pathway to health. Full of unwanted holiday toxins and possibly a few extra holiday pounds, its no wonder everyone’s number one New Year’s resolution is to be healthier. A juice cleanse is the perfect way to break the cycle and launch a better, improved you. I am a big fan of juice cleansing. Personally I like to cleanse all year round, aiming to do at least a 3-day juice cleanse every 4-6 weeks. And my body thanks me for it. My skin glows, I have way more energy and it gives me that little boost to keep feeding my body with wholesome, clean food. A 3-day juice cleanse will help launch you to a better you for 2015, breaking those bad food habits and cleaning your body out of those unwanted toxins.

I find the Genie Juicery cleanse really easy and straightforward. I place my order and it gets delivered to my door. No preparation. No thinking. Just drink and go. I know exactly what goes into each bottle of juice and I know that I’m feeding my body with some much-needed nourishment whilst giving my digestive system a well-deserved break. A 3-day cleanse is always challenging, even for a regular juicer like myself. Especially coming off a few indulgent weeks, your body doesn’t initially like the sudden upheaval to your diet, but once the three days are done, I’m a different person. Energy levels are rejuvenated and motivation is soaring. It really does set me up for success, in all aspects of my life. Hello 2015 – lets make it a goody!
