Marking the seventh edition of the trade show, Natural & Organics Asia (NOA) will return this year from November 11 to 13 at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) in Wanchai. The fair is the region’s most established sourcing and trading platform in the global natural and organic products industry, and will feature its flagship events including the NOA Awards recognising the leading innovative brands in the space and inspiring talks at the NOA Academy.
Despite the postponement of the NOA fair this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, the trade show is set to be held on November 11 to 13 with an impressive line-up showcasing the latest brands, trends and happenings in Asia’s burgeoning natural and organics industry. With pre-registration already open for the 3-day event, the organisers at Informa Markets are busy working with industry experts to judge the flagship NOA Awards, which recognises the achievements and developments of sustainable brands, from the best beverages to vegan products.
The show will feature a Sustainability Pavilion for the first time, with a showcase of leading sustainable food products and services and will see the return of the popular NOA Academy, which takes attendees on a programme of exciting talks, seminars, forums and workshops about the growing trends that will shape the industry in the future.
Among some of the speakers that will be sharing their insights and expertise include Chef Arnaud Hauchon from Fivelements Habitat who will discuss vegan sustainable innovation in the kitchen, the former assistant director of the Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) Mr Leung Wing-Mo on the relationship between food and the environment, and Laurie Goldberg, the CEO of Open Book Extracts Asia who will offer her knowledge on CBD and wellness.
Green Queen Media founder and editor-in-chief Sonalie Figuerias, who is also the founder and CEO of Ekowarehouse, the world’s first global B2B platform for certified organic and ecolabel products, will also feature at the NOA Academy this year. Figueiras will be sharing her insights on alternative protein and the future of food, which is set to take be a major industry topic as consumers increasingly prioritise health, well-being and sustainability, particularly in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
Last year, NOA saw over 250 brands featured at the trade show, with a significant uptick in “new to Asia” brands and products across a wide range of sectors, from wellness and beauty to personal care and F&B. Fuelled by the growing market in Asia where middle-class consumers are in search of cleaner, more sustainable and natural products, sales in the organic and natural industry have been consistently on the rise far more than other markets in the U.S. and Europe, according to Ecovia Intelligence.
