FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: From a global applicant pool, five winners were selected for solutions addressing key challenges such as reducing chemical inputs, cutting food waste, developing sustainable ingredients, improving accessibility, and encouraging healthier consumer choices.

The final evaluation was carried out with the involvement of a jury of leading investors and industry executives, among them Gustaf Brandberg, Venture Capitalist at Gullspång Invest; Diana Orembe, Founder of NovFeed, a biotechnology startup in Tanzania upcycling market waste into protein-rich fish feed and microbial fertilizer; and Claire Smith, Venture Capitalist at Beyond Impact VC, and three world-class scientists from the EAT-Lancet commission.

“From smarter farming to healthy and sustainable ingredients and less food waste, these innovators are reshaping the future of food,” said Dr. Gunhild Stordalen, Founder and Executive Chair of EAT.
