Dr Sarah Ison is Head of Research at Compassion in World Farming where she leads a team of research specialists to provide the evidence base to advocate for a food system transformation that works for animals, people and planet. Sarah has a BSc in Biological Sciences from King’s College London and an MSc in Animal Behaviour from Exeter University. In 2016, she was awarded her PhD from the University of Edinburgh after researching pain associated with the birthing process in pigs with Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC).
