Real Food Orchard Central

Real Food is a vegetarian café with a good range of vegan and gluten-free fare. With zen-like decorations and a menu full of Asian and Western inspired dishes, the small eatery is a great place for a casual lunch bite. All their food is made with locally and sustainably sourced ingredients, and organic whenever possible. They have great plant-based beverages too, from kombucha to Vanilla Quinoa Milk

Gokul Vegetarian Restaurant

There are many small vegetarian Indian food joints in Singapore, but this one remains a loyal local favourite. Gokul Vegetarian Restaurant is vegetarian, but most on the menu is vegan-friendly. The small side street eatery is popular amongst veggie Singaporeans, who say that their tasty sambar is a must-try.

Afterglow by Anglow, located in the heart of Singapore’s Chinatown, is a 100% plant-based restaurant and café serving healthy and delicious dishes inspired by a fusion of International and Asian cuisine. Most of what is on the menu is also raw vegan friendly, and made with local and regional ingredients sourced responsibly from small farmers wherever possible. All their dishes are beautifully presented, and tastes as amazing as they look! Try their homemade vegan cheese, chunky chopped salad bowls and raw zoodles. This restaurant offers vegetarian Chinese and Southeast Asian dishes with a good range of vegan options on the menu. You will find veggie versions of many of the regional classics, from braised noodles with mushrooms to Hainan “chicken” rice.

All their dishes pack a punch of flavour, and many feature mock meats, like their take on clay pot rice and mantou with a range of veggie fillings and sauces.

This Korean restaurant will disrupt all the preconceptions about typically meat-laden Korean barbecue with their array of veggie fare, from crispy Vegetable Fried Pancake to a whole range of bibimbaps and japchaes.

VeganBurg

Vegan fast casual chain VeganBurg (also in San Francisco) creates 100% plant-based burgers that will satisfy any “naughty” food craving- they even do a pretty epic vegan fried egg. All their burgers feature fibre-packed wholemeal buns, egg and dairy-free mayonnaise, and GMO-free plant protein patties. They are also sustainability-minded: they use energy efficient appliances and recycled and compostable packaging. Since their launch in Singapore, they have developed quite a cult following!

Another popular fast food eatery is nomVnom, with two locations serving mouth-watering vegan burgers made with homemade all-natural buns and assortment of fries! You get to choose from straight cut, sweet potato or truffle chips. Their patties are made from soy, potato, veggies, or their mushroom-based combination – again, your pick. You can also pair your meal with fresh soups and salads, and finish off with sweets. The burger joint is also Buddhist-friendly, using no garlic or onions.
