In order to help flatten the curve of the coronavirus pandemic, many of us are practicing social distancing and staying at home as much as possible. Many businesses are also enforcing measures to help protect its staff and the public, such as gyms and yoga studios. But not being able to head to your usual exercise classes doesn’t necessarily mean that you can’t stay fit. Here are 8 virtual workout sessions that you can do in your living room, from HIIT to pilates!

Fitness influencer Natacha Oceane posts regular workouts on her Instagram and Youtube page, and now that most of us are staying at home, she’s keeping our heart rates up with her intensive home workouts. Below is her recent 20 minute, no equipment, full body session that is bound to work up a sweat.
“Body Coach” Joe Wicks livestream PE classes for kids
Personal trainer Joe Wicks, also known as the “Body Coach”, is helping parents who are homeschooling. He will be live-streaming 30 minute long PE classes that children can partake in on his Youtube channel from 9am GMT Monday to Friday every week. You can join in live if you’re in the right timezone, but if not, you’ll find all of them here.
Peloton app workouts (90-day free trial)
Peloton, the company behind the stationary bicycles and treadmills with a fully-connected live streaming system is now offering a 3-month free trial of its app. The workouts on the app are compatible with any bike or treadmill you have, and it also offers floor workouts, yoga and meditation sessions for those without equipment.
Boom virtual boxing sessions
Singapore-based functional training and boxing studio Boom has just begun its series of live online workouts, which are live-streamed on Instagram Live. From boxing to HIIT and stretching, there is something suitable for everyone to join in. Find their schedule below.
LV Yoga Fareham online yoga classes
LV Yoga Fareham, a yoga studio in Portsmouth, UK, is offering free yoga classes that will be held online live on its Facebook page. Every day, there will be one session for children and one for adults, suitable for beginners. Although the classes are completely free, participants are welcome to give a donation via Paypal to support the studio during these difficult times (more information available on its Facebook page).
Alo Moves, the yoga, pilates and barre subscription service launched by popular yoga athleisure brand Alo, is now offering full free pilates workouts on its Youtube channel. From total body morning yoga to calming meditation, you’ll find thousands of videos to keep you strong, flexible and moving during your time at home.
Move It or Lose It sessions for older people
Fitness company Move It or Lose It is now offering virtual workout sessions for older adults on its Facebook page. They have also created a free support pack full of useful advice for elderly to keep active and exercising whilst isolating at home.
Laura “Biceps” Hoggins daily workouts
Personal trainer Laura “Biceps” Hoggins will be posting daily workouts on her Instagram page every single day during the pandemic. Most are bodyweight sessions with no equipment required, and are suitable for all levels. Some focus on strength and are easy to follow if you have a kettlebell or basic weights at home.
