The Blissful Carrot

The Blissful Carrot is Macau’s healthy veggie heaven. Located in Macau’s Taipa Village, this little takeaway café offers a huge variety of vegan and vegetarian dishes. From sandwiches to wraps, bowls, salads and raw cakes, they have just about everything and the vibe is very California health cafe. The well-known fusion vegetarian eatery (a favourite among Macau’s many show performers) uses local and organic whole foods and also make their own cold-pressed juices, tonics, smoothies and kombucha.

Veggie Macau

Veggie Macau is another favourite for veggies in Macau, and has become quite famous for their Spinach Quesadillas, Black Truffle Mushroom Risotto and Beetroot Spaghetti. Other items on their international menu include burgers, risotto, bread bowls, curries, rice and noodles. They also have daily rotating lunch specials and homemade desserts. While not completely vegan, as they serve egg and dairy, they can alter all dishes on the menu for fully plant-based folk.

On Thai Loi

On Thai Loi (安泰來) is a 100% vegan family restaurant serving up Thai classics with absolutely no meat, dairy or eggs. You will find all your Thai favourites here, from pad thai to crispy spring rolls and green curry. The small, no-frills, Buddhist-friendly restaurant is popular among Macau’s plant-based community, with many local guides recommending the place as a “must go”. 

Address: On Thai Loi, Edificio Man Lei, Rua Quattro Do Bairro da Areia Preta 18-20, Macau. Open daily: 12noon – 3.00pm; 6.00pm – 11.00pm. 

Rawlicious

Rawlicious is a fully plant-based raw food restaurant serving up healthy Romanian-inspired vegan dishes and desserts. Founded in 2016, Rawlicious is now a hotspot for those who prefer slightly high-end western vegan dining in Macau. The menu of vibrant dishes like Raw Vegan Pizza With Cajun Cashew Cream Cheese, the Pasta Buddha Bowl and Mango Turmeric Cake is sure to impress. Green Queen Recommendation: make sure to try their cakes, crafted out of nuts and seeds, and containing no refined sugars- they are a winner. Rawlicious also offers private dining services and hold seasonal cooking classes in case you want more.

Veggie Castle

Veggie Castle is a vegan-friendly vegetarian restaurant located in one of the more historical and quieter parts of Macau. They have an American themed menu, with lots of burgers, pastas and pizzas on offer. While they do serve dairy cheese, they also have vegan cheese available upon request. Veggie Castle also serve homemade vegan chocolate tarts and baked goods, perfect for an afternoon snack.

Harmony Village Vegetarian

Harmony Village Vegetarian is a Cantonese-style vegetarian café with plenty of vegan-friendly options, as none of their dishes contain egg. While they do not have an English menu, the friendly staff are happy to point out the fully plant-based dishes anytime. They serve everything from stir fries to noodles and baguettes, think Macau’s answer to a veggie cha-chaan-teng.
