Pret A Manger Launches Brand New Summer Vegan Menu in Hong Kong

Following the success of Pret a Manger’s three Veggie Pret locations in London and an initial “Not Just For Veggies” campaign in Hong Kong last year, Pret Hong Kong has upped the #plantbased ante and unveiled an all-new vibrant summer menu filled primarily of vegan options. Inspired by the British standalone restaurant recipes and encouraged by Asia’s new appetite for all things vegan, the new menu features a colorful range of plant-based proteins and multi-hued vegetables. To give you the lowdown on what to order with Green Queen’s full vegan preview ahead of the Hong Kong rollout happening this Wednesday, June 6th.

Salads & Sandwiches

Roasted Sweet Potato & Smashed Beets Vegan Box, HKD42

Featuring broccolini, a first for Pret, this colorful salad box is filled with roasted sweet potato, smashed beetroot hummus, and avocado over a bed a fresh greens. With a slight spicy, sweet Ancho Chili dressing made with roasted peppers, garlic, and lime juice, this zesty salad is topped with soya beans, pomegranate seeds, and dried Mexican chili flakes. Available only at selected shops. 

Pret’s Vegan Protein Box, HKD59

The ultimate meatless meal prep, Pret’s Vegan Protein Box is not only appetizing but packs a nutritious punch. With a radiant mix of avocado, sweet potato, green pea, quinoa and sprinkled with pomegranate seeds and a side of Ancho Chili dressing, this lunch option makes it easier and more convenient to eat better.

Super Greens & Reds, HKD26

For all you veggie sandwich lovers out there, this is for you! Filling and hearty with crunchy red peppers, slices of avocado, olives and spinach, the red pepper tapenade gives a slightly tangy taste with every bite.

Healthy Soups & Desserts

Butternut Squash Dhansak, HKD35

A Pret interpretation of this traditional Indian curry, this soup is high in protein, rich with coconut cream and chunks of butternut squash. Mixed with green lentils, mung beans, yellow split peas and garnished with turmeric, coriander and cumin with a hint of chili, we’re definitely excited about this one! Available only at selected shops. 

For a chance to enjoy vegan soups every day, this dhansak will be on Pret’s weekly rotation alongside its Classic Green Pea blend with mint and red chilis, and a vegan Minestrone soup with seasonal veggies and macaroni – both of which will be available at all Pret shops citywide.

Chia Mango & Coconut Yogurt Bowl, HKD42

This creamy dessert pot is made with dairy-free coconut yogurt with soaked chia seeds, blended mango and banana, topped with gluten-free, dairy-free granola, roasted coconut flakes and pomegranate seeds. Available only at selected shops.
