Pure Yoga Pacific Place Opens, Raises The Bar In Hong Kong’s Wellness Scene

As you step in through the heavy, glass doors of upscale lifestyle and shopping mall Pacific Place, Pure Yoga beckons in regal fashion: Hong Kong now boasts a new sanctuary of holistic wellness. With high ceilings, muted mood lighting, and soft timber panels adorning an opulent 10,000 square foot space, the city’s premier yoga studio brand has truly outdone itself this time.

Pure Group, the luxury health club chain, opened Pure Yoga Pacific Place earlier this month – its ninth studio in Hong Kong – to wide fanfare that has exceeded expectations. The space is a welcome addition and respite against Hong Kong’s daily clamor. Offering an extensive list of 30- and 60-minute meditation and restorative classes to reduce tensions and enhance wellbeing, Pure Yoga will be launching five types of 30-minute meditation classes to suit different needs: Pranayama, the practice of breath control, is an introduction to yogic breathing and concentration exercises; Yoga Nidra, also known as yogic sleep, is offered to bring relaxation, clarity and tranquility to help improve the quality of sleep; and Nada Yoga, clearing the mind and optimizing brain frequency through sound vibrations, are currently available. Trataka Yoga, a meditation place that involves staring at an object for a period of time to develop concentration, and Movement Mediation, moving the body to rhythm of sound or breath, will soon follow suit. Exclusive to Pure Yoga Pacific Place is Yoga for Office Workers, created to help sedentary folks promote good posture and balance the body with techniques to stretch and strengthen muscles.

Featuring four dedicated yoga studios with more than 20 different yoga styles of practice offered, there are over 120 weekly classes available for all levels of practitioners taught by 12 internationally certified instructors including celebrity yoga instructor Rosemary Vandenbroucke. The women’s changing rooms are so gorgeous they require a special mention: spacious getting ready counters  with luxurious backlit vanity salons set on a gradient baby rose pink wall, you have everything you need to look dinner ready, from hairdryers to ceramic hair straighteners, as well as rainforest showers, all-natural toiletries and complimentary plush towels to round out your yoga sesh. Basically, you will never want to leave! We imagine the same service is provided in the men’s room, though we can’t be sure 😉 Along with a state-of-the-art air purification system throughout the entire studio and tablet/phone charging stations, the new Pacific Place location also showcases a dine-in nood food café featuring delicious and nutritious juice bar for superfood smoothies, cold-pressed juices, fresh sandwiches, snacks. Stay and chow down before heading back to the office or grab & go if you’re pressed for time. Pure Apparel yoga-inspired activewear can be found adjacent to the café, showcasing the latest dynamic and technical yoga gear.

An air of tranquility and calm encompasses an otherwise hectic destination in the heart of the city. With all the tools at hand to give practicing yogis the space and mentors they need, Pure Yoga Pacific Place is a one-stop haven of balance and serenity.
